I would like to keep my computer updated, but one of the
xp updates knock's out my home network. I tried for days
to correct the problem only to wind up completely
restoring the whole system. Now my network runs great,
but I'm afraid to update (24 updates are available)! Any
way to find out which one can cause this? JIM

Hi, Jim,

Sorry that i don't have an answer, but after updating my
PC , i to have lost my network ( two pc's). If you get
an answer please let me know,

Many thanks, W

I am not the expert that some here are but I remember that one of the
updates seemed to start the XP firewall ( I am running Zone Alarm). You
either need to allow your network in XP's firewall or disable it in lieu of
something else. Please do not remove all firewalls and think that you will
be safe.
