Hi,

I've trawled the knowledge base and this newsgroup but can not find an
answer as to whether it is even possible to remotely update windows
PCs over a LAN. I'm sure it must be as I remember receiving emails at
a previous work place being told to leave all PCs on overnight so that
updates could be installed.

So how do I do it? Surely it is an issue that many people must come
across. I know I could do a remote connection to every machine but
it's hardly time well spent.

Ideas, links etc greatly appreciated. Desktops are Win XP Professional
and the Server is Win2k.

Regards

Do I take the silence to mean that it isn't possible or have I posted
to the wrong group?

Barry,

Security patches & service packs can be automatically installed using a
Software Update Server. See KB810796 & KB322365 to start.
