WINDOWS XP UPDATE

I can not update patch or file....819696 to solve a security issue with
Microsoft DirectX.
Windows Update reports it has been successfully updated but a check by going
back to the Windows Update Program via the internet the program after the
scan reports the update 819696 is needed
