Windows XP Update downloading again and again

The Q823559 patch has been automatically downloading
again and again for 2 weeks. I have tried unstalling and
reinstalling manually, but I cannot get rid of the
problem. On manually scanning, I always get 1 critical
update to install - just this patch. Very disconcerting.
Help!
