Hello there everyone. I recently tried one of those XP " Tweaks ". Being a
novice on this, I should of never tried it. I cant remember how I did it or
what the Tweak was called. I will try to describe what I did. I am sure I
rean it from the Start/run button. I cant remember what I typed in next. The
tweak was supposed to remove all the banners and garbage from web pages. It
suceeded, but it also suceeded in
removing all kinds of stuff. When I try system restore I get a blank page.
When I try to use search, I get a blank page except for the little dog
wagging his tail :). I am at a loss. I cant seem to find the article also
that I read the tweak from. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi

Has that program got an 'undo' option? If so try that.

Have you tried using Restore to go back to before you entered this command
or edited the registry?

Hi Pete,

Without knowing more......

Start/Run keeps a history, open it.

If this pertained to branding, it would have read:
rundll32.exe iedkcs32.dll,Clear

However, it would not have caused your latter stated issues. More info
needed.

If it was a Start->Run command it should still be there via the little carat
to the right of the input field on the Run line. Pop that up and see if you
recognize it.
