This past weekend I've been trying to reinstall my xp pro
I have the disks. I currently have home edition even
though my screen says pro. The problem thatI'm having is
a nasty dialogue box that says "cannot copy ***.dl_"
along with the "please make sure that the proper disk is
in the correct drive" Now I'm stuck in my office and no
way to do my work. Please help!!!!!!!!!
thx truckrwolf

Examine the Windows XP CD and make sure it is absolutely "pristine clean"
with no scratches, fingerprints or smudges. Use a mild non-ammonia based
household cleaning solution and a soft cloth to clean it. Make sure you only
use the original Windows XP Pro installation CD with the holographic design
and not a burned copy.
