Hi,

In XP, there is no such animal, as you don't need a startup disk like in
98/ME to reload Windows, or boot to it to make amends to faults in the
operating system, like ME. The XP CD install disk is a bootable disk and can
perform all the things necesssary for the XP operating system.

You can copy the files boot.ini, ntldr and ntdetect.com into a
formatted diskette and this will be a boot disk.

For systems that cannot boot from a cdrom drive, you can download from
Microsoft site:

windows xp home- www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=33290
windows xp professional -
www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.asp?ReleaseID=33291

windows xp home SP1-

windows xp professional SP1 -
