My task bar has moved to the right side of my screen. I've tried and tried
to drag it back to the bottom (by clicking on the short edge, right clicking
and dragging, left clicking and dragging, everything I could think of), but
it won't budge. HELP !

Just right click...but not on the edge

you will not see it move until you get it in the proper place

where a "ghost" of it will appear. Then when you release your mouse...

it will appear in the proper place.

Do *not* click on the edge. Dragging the edge is used to resize it, not to
move it. Click on an unused place *within* the task bar.

Hooray ! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH.
