I've upgraded my laptop to Windows XP. It's been running fine for the past 2 months until I got the following message today: "one of your disks needs to be checked for consistency." It performs a consistency check and states the "first allocation unit is bad. Entry will be truncated. Windows has made corrections to the file system". It then tries to start Windows XP and flashes a blue screen with a full page of writing. All I caught is "disk error" and "an attempt was made....". It then starts the whole process all over again and keeps repeating this cycle. I can't get into Windows XP from that laptop and am sending this from a Windows 2000 laptop. Any advice would be most appreciative
