windows xp start uP

I THINK, and i dont know much, but im pretty certain my computer has been
hijacked..programs are there i didnt install, my start up menu is empty and
when i ping my computyer it out me in my documents. i noticed that windows
nt is running, yet i have xp...

here is my operating system startup...is this right?
[boot loader]
timeout=70
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home
Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptOut
(and my hard drive is partitioned into 2, i never did thjat i dont
think...anyone have ideas?

Windows XP is just a marketing name. Under the hood, Windows XP is actually
Windows NT 5.0 (and Windows Vista is Windows NT 6.0).

FWIW
Windows 2000 is NT 5.0
Windows XP is NT 5.1
