My computer takes a long time to start up, due to all the programs in the
systray that boot up automatically when I log on.

Can anyone tell me how to disable automatic login of these programs?

Thanks,

Which programs are starting?

Usually, a program will have an option in its preferences to not load at
startup (such as real player or musicmatch).

There's a very good freeware utility, Zilla WinCleaner N` Optimizer,
that does this (and a lot more).

Ooops. I've just installed something else from them and it's tried to
install some spyware. I've zapped the spyware and the utility seems to
work OK, though. I didn't have this problem with Wincleaner but
thought it best to warn folks.

Hi MP, have you tried msconfig type it into run and untick them in
start up?
