Hi,

My Brother owns a computer with Windows XP Home installed.
Trouble is it has crashed and taken the hard disk with it.

I need a start-up disk to restart the computer and get him
up and running again.

Can anyone tell me where I can make a start-up disk for
Windows XP Home. (I have XP Pro and am unable to do it for
him!!)

Thanks all in advance..

Paul,

His Windows XP CD ROM is bootable and contains all the tools you need to
"get him up and running again."
Just set his BIOS to boot from the CD first and away you go.
The MS-DOS start-up disk you can create in Windows XP Professional is the
same as the one you would create in Home Edition. Note it is just a boot
disk and contains no tools or drivers of any kind (so you will not be able
to access a NTFS filesystem or the CD Drive)
