Windows XP SP2 RC1 - Help

I installed this patch on my laptop running Windows XP home, and now it's
stuck in an endless reboot cycle.

It starts to boot up, gets a blue screen, and reboots before I can read
anything.

I've tried everything, last known good, safe mode, etc, and also put the
install CD back in and performed
a repair, but that did not fix it.

The last option is a complete re-install of the OS, unless someone has any
suggestions.
