It's Windows XP SP2 Beta Build 2082 safe to download and install?

I'm affraid it will cause bug and problem because it's a beta? It's
Uninstallation available?

Windows XP SP2 is currently in beta testing. Unless you understand
the ramifications of installing a major service pack, still in beta form,
I urge you not to install it. Let the authorized beta testers do the testing,
else you'll probably end up reformating your drive and reinstalling the
Windows XP operating system from scratch.

Wait for the final released version of SP2 which should become available
later in the year.

(1) Unless you are a beta tester you shouldn't have access to it.
(2) Many bugs, don't screw up your PC to get something that isn't ready for
primetime. :)

If you get it legitimately from Microsoft, it is OK.
Any other source is illegitimate and deals with stolen software.

In any event, there are risks to Beta software.

My experience of the beta SP2 is that Windows will no longer start on my PC. I have had to go back and recover XP from the CD. It has been a waste of several hours. All I wanted was a fix to file sharing which is reported as being part of SP2. I could have obtained it seperately from MS but my support agreement has now expired and I think I would have to pay. So now I will wait until SP2 is tried and tested later this summer.

Well, you see this is what happens when people don't read things carefully.
Had you read that hotfix blurb carefully you wouldn't have wasted all that
time. Suggest you go back and read it again. Carefully this time.

You dont need Sp1 would would you want sp2 ?
