Windows XP Sound Schemes

One of the things I really liked about Windows 98 were the different
sound
schemes, and how you could set whatever sound you wanted to a certain action.

If you didn't like a sound you could change it.
Does anyone know where where I can get more sound schemes than just the
default Windows XP sounds?

Going into Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices, etc.... doesn't
work. The
ONLY SOUND SCHEME AVAILABLE are the Windows XP Default sounds. I can change
the sounds around. But the ONLY sounds I can SELECT FROM are the Windows XP
default sounds. I want different sounds, not to just switch around the sounds
I already have available.

Mortis88,
I should have mentioned that I have a TON of small sound files and if
you like I could zip them up and send them to you. You will have to clean
up my return address on here.. You will see what to delete from it.. If I
hear from you direct, I will send them. They don't like attachments hooked
on these Newsgroups.

Sound Recorder, located in the Entertainment folder, on this site).

You can use any WAV files you have around. Put them in Windows\Media,
then use Sounds and Audio - Sounds to select and save a scheme. Quite a
lot come in the Plus! packs - ones from 98 Plus! will work in XP

If the OP has still got his win98 sound files, would he contravene the EULA
if he copied them to his new system? That's what I did with my old win95
files. I hope MS won't mind! :-)

Tony.
