I have an HP Vectra vl800 that came with Windows 2000
professional, along with it came the option of requesting
Windows XP Professional as an upgrade to Windows 2000. I
ordered it. I received it as an OEM product with two disc
ready to load directly from HP. I loaded it and it is
working find. Now I went to downloads for both Explorer
and XP at Microsoft. I have problems with Explorer and XP
package 1 won't load. It says I have an incorrect product
code, contact supplier. Well the product code and discs
have the same official logo and certificate as the Win
2000, and yet it won't accept. I contacted HP they say I
need to clear everything off my harddrive and reload
again because I may have entered the wrong key #. I find
this too much work. Is there a way to vefiry that the
correct code has been put in, and if not can it be
edited. I also downloaded upgrades for Windows Office
Professional and alll that was requested was that orginal
disc be used during download. I can see why Windows XP
doesn't work the same way. Has anyone encounted this?

Thanks John

Find the product key by using AIDA32 (google for website).
