I know this is probably a stupid question - so sorry in advance.

I just had my laptop rebuilt and I can not get my XP screen saver password
to work. When I go to display - screen saver and select a screen saver it
does not ask about passwords. In fact none of the screen savers has a
password attached to them. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Windows XP does not have a screensaver password option per say.
Click on the Screensaver tab in Display properties and place a check
next to "On resume, password protect", then click Apply.

I did not explain the problem well. That is my problem there are no "On
resume, password protect" on any of the screen saver options. It use to be
there before the laptop was rebuilt...
