windows xp restored

i bought a compaq notebook presario 2100 last year.
there is a sticker on it that says microsoft works 7.0
and encarta online software. it had those things on the
windows xp page that comes on as soon as you turn on the
computer. well a week ago my hard drive was corrupted
and the store where i bought the computer restored it and
since then the two things above are not on the windows xp
page. i can't find them. how do i get them back? i
hope you can understand my question, i am very new at a
computer. i was using the microsoft works, now i can't.

Have you asked the people who "restored" the computer? If they are
restoring it with whatever method was given to you (by them) to restore it
back to its original (purchased) state and those applications are supposed
to be there, then they are responsible to make sure it is done that way.
