I'm running the current configuration below, and Windows
reports the memory size of my Geforce 3 video card as
being only 16MB. At POST, the GF3 reports memory as
64MB, as does the "Geforce 3" tab in Display Properties.
When using nVidia Detonator drivers 43.45, both Windows
and the Geforce tab reported 32MB of video memory.
Anyone else experienced this, and if is it a problem with
Windows software, or with the card itself? I perceive
GDI performance to be sluggish, as are 3D games.
Current configuration:
Gigabyte 8ITXE motherboard (Intel i850), BIOS version F4
Intel Pentium IV 1.6GHz
768 MB PC800 RDRAM
MSI Geforce 3 64MB (Starforce 8822)
Windows XP, build 2600.xpsp2.030422-1633 (SP1)
Detonator 44.67 (WHQL)
