Windows XP reinstallation problems

I am trying to reformat my hard drive (due to viruses) and reinstall Windows
XP, but when the Windows XP Installation process begins it says that no hard
drive is found.

Your controller (hard disk) may require some drive diskette to be inserted
during an "F6" Windows installation.
(Google for "F6 and Windows XP Install")
