basically i screwed my computer over and then tried to just *reinstall
windowsxp*(*1*) and it worked...tried *installing linksys adapter
software*(*2*)(it was the wrong one...figures right?) and it said to
reboot.so i did. and it did everything up until when it was supposed to say
"welcome" and.....be..a...normal working computer.....(?). so i repeated 1
and 2 and got 3 (same outcome) again. so i went to do *1* again and i got an
error about the bios info setting or some crapwith i think the first nimber
was 1607....in that order i think...and then it was like error number 47872
or something of that sort.... PLEASE HELP ME!!! I AM NOTHING WITH OUT MY
COMPUTER!!! I was also recently in a roll over car accident and if you have
an answer to my dilemma it will make me the happiest i have been in the past
3 weeks.

sincerely sad...and thank you so much X infinity

Hey Jennifer, might help, with my wireless card I have to install XP,
install the driver, shutdown and install the card. If messed up with that
once and I fixed it by shutting down, removing the card, rebooting, removing
the driver, clean out temporary files, reboot, reinstall the driver, then
shutdown again and installed the card and everything worked fine from then.
I proably could have done it without one or 2 of those steps, but it worked
well
