I've been told that I possibly have a virus, but whattever
I have, I can find no support. My screen currently has
pinstripes running vertically and I am unable to run
windows XP profeesional correctly. I can only run in safe
mode and then can't get online. Any suggestions? I can't
even uninstall. Anyone out there that can help me?

1 - try updating or reinstalling your video card drivers
2 - monitor could be dying.
3 - try a repair install of xp.
4 - format and reinstall xp.

Probably not a virus. If you can run OK in safe mode - then the
problem is either video drivers or you're using an improper refresh
mode for the monitor.

Either update your video drivers or correct the refresh rate. See
you monitor manual for the correct refresh rate that should be used
with each resolution you choose. For example: Most newer monitors
set to 800 x 600 can accept a refresh rate of between at least 75hz to
85hz.
