Windows xp problem persists

I am trying to troubleshoot why I can't load programs on my CD Rom
drive.Obviously I am shut off.. When I go to "system information" it says for
all "windows management file moved or missing.." Help Ken

Could you be a bit more explicit? What exactly do you mean "can't load
programs ON my CD Rom drive"? Do you mean you are trying to RUN programs
that are on a CD or are you trying to install programs to your HDD that are
on a CD?
 
Sorry, I am confused;
"load programs ON cd-rom" 1) are you trying to burn a cd? 2) or are you
installing a program from the cd-rom? 3) are you getting an error message?
(what's the msg?) 4) does device manager show your cd-rom & is it the correct
make and or model?

5) the more information you supply the easier to successfully diagnose and
solve an issue.

If you have a CD-ROM/BURNER/DVD , you may want to try to go to the
manufacture's downloads website and see if a FIRMWARE update exist for your
drive (CD-ROM's are rare to have updates).
