i just install windows xp on my computer and now i have
four different drive:
Disk1_Vol1(c:)
Disk1_Vol2(d:)
Disk1_Vol3(e:)
Disk1_Vol4(f:)

i dont know how i got this. is there a way to combine all
the other drive into drive (c:) to have alot more space
on my computer. or can i just delete the other 3 drives,
if so how?

could this have happened because the installation
[somehow] decided to use FAT, so it created multiple
partitions???

Yes it could be, as WinXP is limited to creating FAT32 partitions at a
maximum of 32GB - if you have a 120GB harddrive, then 4 partitions would be
in order.
