I have a Dell Dimension 8250 that was given to me in hopes that I
could fix it. I was told that initially it crashed, and now it is
having some problems. The computer boots through the BIOS, and the
Windows XP Pro screen fades in, stays up for a few seconds, and the
screen goes blank. No cursor or text is displaying on the screen. Does
anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem? Thanks in
advance for the help!

You could try hitting F8 while booting to attempt to get in XP in Safe Mode.
If you do get in you could try a System Restore. Click on Start, Help and
Support and on the right side you will see "Undo changes to my system
with.........."

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry to say that I've already tried Safe
Mode and "Last Known Good Configuration". Both had the same problem.
Thanks again!

Format the hard drive and do a clean install of Windows.

Matt has the next solution to try.
