My wifes computer was running fine until yesterday,
started it up and got a couple error reports, it ran for
a couple hours, she updated her media player and then
thats when the problems started. I did a system restore
back to Friday morning. When it did start up it ran very
slow and kept giving error reports. I am kinda at a loss
here for an idea???

It sounds like you've got one of the netsky32 viruses.
I'm not sure, but my boss' computer is running Win2K and
he came into work one day turned his computer on and it
started making all sorts of odd noises from the
motherboard's sound card. He ended up having to reload
windows and all of his programs because when he went to
do a virus scan it found over 3200 files that had been
infected or damaged!!!

Idon't think it's a virus. Mine is doing the same but has
no viruses. My friend is an IT manager and can't work out
why XPpro is continually rebooting. We believe that it is
something to do with XP having a fault that Gates+co have
not fixed yet!....remember how much *fun* everyone has
each time a new OS is issued......

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced.
Click on the Settings button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom)
section.
In the Startup and Recovery window click on the checkbox for
"Automatically restart" to clear it.
Click on Apply and OK as needed to exit.

Good luck
