I currently have 4 pc's with xp pro. I have a workgroup with a belkin wired
router. I would like to turn one of my pcs into a server. Is this possible
with a router etc?

Could you please tell me how or direct me in the right direction.

What do you want the "server" computer to do?

Setting up a domain requires a computer running a server operating
system, such as Windows Server 2003. It isn't possible to set up a
domain using XP Pro.

Any XP computer can act as a file and printer server, sharing its
resources with other computers on a local area network.
