Windows XP Pro computer quits allowing access to work group comput

A computer that was previously allowing access to a workgroup has stopped
allowing any access to other workgroup computers and to it from other
workgroup computers. Get workgroup name is not accessible. The list of
servers for this workgroup is not currently available. We can ping the other
computer(s) and see them in a net view but can not get to them or their
resources.

Any idea what changed on your network? Sometimes the simplest changes can cause
problems like yours. One of the most common causes of this problem would be a
misconfigured or overlooked personal firewall, or other security component.
