Windows XP Pro Backup utility

I ahve backed up befor with the backup utility on multiple media but now it
seems that the backup utility will not go past 1 disk to backup my data where
it will take around 6 CDRW. Why and how can I fix it.

Ntbackup does not span discs. You'll have to make separate backups, each of
which can fit onto one disc.

A better alternative: Use ntbackup to backup to your hard disc, then use
your burning software to transfer the backup to optical media.
 
Or use DriveCopy to back up any drive in it's entirety.
