New to Windows XP, I couldn't figure out where the primary
Administrator's Account (AA)was. In order to ID it, when
I found the Administrator log-in, I inserted the name MAX
so that I'd know that this was the AA.

I changed my user account (which did have Administrator
rights)...named MaxB.....to a "Power User".

Now I can only log into the "MaxB" account. But it does
not appear to be an AA. I'm just not sure.

FYI, I network this computer to a PC Notebook in a
workgroup.

Is there anything I can do to get back to the "MAX"
Administrator and "MaxB" User w/Administrator rights?...
short of having to reload WinXP PRO......

Thanks to anyone who has advance....

MaxB

Hi Max,
If you named an account and gave it Administrator
privileges, you still have not accessed the true
Administrator account. Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to open
the login for the real administrator account. I am "gd"
on MSN Messenger 6.0 if you need real time help with it.
Good luck. jd.

JD is correct. I was just about to say that too
Press CTRL+ALT+Del and you should be able to get the classic logon screen and type user name as Administrator and your password for that account.
