Would like to know if installing windows xp professional with sp2 on a
corrupted windows xp professional will cause problems do i do a clean install
?

It will always be better to do a clean install if efforts at repairing
the corruption have failed or are unsatisfactory. Be sure to offload all
important data, graphics, information, etc., files before starting a
clean installation. If e-mails are important, read up and learn how to
back them up...the techniques differ amongst the various e-mail apps.
