OK so i can boot from the Windows XP disk setup, but now... right after
pressing enter for setup; the computer decides to tell me that I have no hard
disks! So i freaked out and rebooted back from the HD to make sure the setup
program was lying, which it was. What is causing this? How can i fix this?

uh... i don't know if this helps, but the Hard Drive is a Seagate 120GB SATA
probably a Barracuda.

You have to download the SATA drivers for your particular model of
motherboard. Follow the instructions for putting them on a floppy disc.
When you boot from the CD, you'll see a screen that says (along the bottom)
"Press F6 to install Third Party Drivers"...press F6. When it asks for the
location of the drivers, point to the floppy.
