Windows XP not loaded properly

I have recently installed Win XP. And after installation for once it worked
nice.But next time when I started the machine Win XP is not loaded and it
remain frozen only displaying WinXp start-up screen.I have again formate the
C: drive and reloaded Win Xp.But same story repeats.After working nicely for
once it's again stucked with the start up screen, after shut down and
restarted few moments later.Please advise.

Probably a hardware problem...
start out with a RAM test and a harddrive diagnostic
