Ok, I start getting error messages that my software (activesync) isn't
supported under windows logo testing... ok, so I go to do a microsoft
windows update online and it says my windows isn't validated, I need to
get a validated copy? I bought this Dell PC a year ago, have never had
any problems with it and now I get this? I use a registry cleaner so
I'm not sure if that could have done it, other than that I'm stumped
can anyone help??

Right-click on your Desktop Internet Explorer icon and select:

Properties > Settings > View Objects, right-click on the
"Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool and select Remove.

Next, open "My Computer" and click on Help > Is This Copy of Windows Legal?
and click on "Validate Now".

If the above does not resolve your issue, then:

When I right click on the Desktop IE I don't get the setting option, I
get general, shortcut and compatability. That's all. Is there something
else I need to do?

Launch Internet Explorer and from the Toolbar select:
Tools > Internet Options
