Hello,
I have multiple computers running on a windows 2000
network. Most machines are windows 2000 and operate fine
in this arrangement. I have one Windows XP machine
however that is very, very sluggish at accessing the
network. Logon's take a very long time, browsing the
network takes forever, and launching network based
applications takes several minutes.
I have applied all service packs and patches to no
avail.. I have tried the registry edits for Scheduled
tasks.. I have no real idea of where to turn now.. I have
even increased the folder cache value from the default
400 to 10000..
If anyone has any ideas please post here or feel free to
email me at (e-mail address removed)
Thank you in advance..
