Windows XP major problem

Suddenly I am unable to right click anything and when I try to get the drop down menus from File, View, etc. they won't appear. When I try to type using Word, the drop down menus will suddenly appear for no reason and some of the letters won't type at all. I did have the Worm/Mydoom.F virus but I ran my anti-virus and got rid of it. My computer is now free of viruses.

Any ideas what could be wrong?
 
Did you disable System Restore when running your anti-virus scan? Some
nasty bugs hide in the System Restore and come back after a scan. Disable
the System Restore and run a new scan, after updating your anti-virus
application. When you then get a clean system you can start the System
Restore feature again.
