Normaly when starting windows, windows just starts up and goes to to the
explorer screen with icons etc no logging on. For some reason it now starts
with the log on page with "To begin click your name" as there is only me
using the computer there is only my name. Do I have to have this as I would
like it to start without the logon page as it did before Any help please

Further to my original post it seems somehow windows has created another log
on name like ati.?? I have deleted this and windows now starts without logon
Im just concerned as to how windows created this other logon name Any help
please

Sometimes it's caused by the installation of certain software.
Or, children with sticky fingers. :)

E-Queen: What you wrote didn't help me----How do I get the windows log on
page NOT to come up anymore, so it will go directly to my desktop instead?
Please help, thanks!!!!

Hi Bill,

Click start/run, type "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes) and
click ok. In the user list, click on the user that you want to be the
default. Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply/ok
and follow the prompts to set up a default logon.
