Windows XP Installation

My problem is that after updating my Windows ME system to
Windows XP Home the system seems to boot cleanly. Then a
few minutes later I receive a error message stating
that "This system is shutting down. This shutdown was
initiated by NT Authority/System ...... Remote Procedure
Call Service..." I wrote down part of this but there may
be some words missing. What do I need to do? Any help
out there.thanks Steve

Steve;
You should have had a firewall and the updates to keep out Blaster.
You most likely caught Blaster.
