I seeem to have a problem that I hope you all can fix. I
have a older Celeron 466 computer that uses the Highpoint
tech. to enable the hard drive to run at UDMA 66. When I
go and try to install XP on it XP doesn't see the drive to
even partition it.

System desc.

Abit BE6II V1.0 motherboard
MotherBoard has 4 IDE connectors. 2 UDMA-33 Conectors and
2 UDMA-66 Connectors (Run by the Highpoint chipset)
512 SDRAM
Celeron 466

Get the XP driver for the controller at the manufacturers web site.
Put it on Floppy diskette.
When booting from the CD to install XP, watch closely at the bottom for
"Press F6 to install..." and do so.. This will allow you to install any
special drivers that might be needed to install windows XP using that
controller.

What you have given me points to:
http://fae.abit.com.tw/eng/download/driver/model/be6ii.php

However, You may have to TRY and use the Win2000 drivers, as I see no XP
specific ones. You could also try the highpoint website..
