I have a computer that has been working fine for some 45 + days.
Yesterday it said it needed to be activated. Click the yes I want to
activate and it says this computer has already been activated. I activated
this computer at initial install any idea?
Thanks Leslie Earl

Possible solution:

Boot into "Safe Mode" by pressing F8 during the boot cycle.

Go to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 regwizc.dll , and hit enter.
Go again to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 licdll.dll , and hit enter again.

Apparently, the above files became unregistered due to malware
and/or registry corruption.

I had this happen about a year ago with this computer, an Acer. It's an
OEM system, it should never need activating. I clicked on "No" and it
continued to start up normally.

Every few days it would do this, at start-up. One time I clicked "Yes"
to see if this would stop it once and for all, and it complained about
an invalid key or something and I couldn't log in. This scared me as I
thought I was going to be locked out of my own computer, which I use
daily for work.

Using System Restore I took it back to before this started, but it
still happened occasionally, once every few days. I always clicked "No"
and the computer worked normally. But the problem stopped eventually. I
don't remember when, it just did. I had forgotten all about the problem
until your post reminded me.
