When looking in my add/remove prgroms list, I noticed
that there is about 5 gigs of my hard drive taken up by
this windows xp hotfix. there is about a dozen or so at
about 320 mb a piece. Do I need these? If not, could i
delete them?

Thanks

If your system is running well and you do not plan on
removing any hotfixes you can remove the backup entries
for them(which is what your seeing).Their is a tool for
this curtesy of Doug Knox.

www.dougknox.com

Look under xp utilities for "Remove hotfix backup files
ver.2.0"

Be sure that you are NOT having system problems caused by
any hotfix before you do this.Once done your option to
remove it is gone.

Great God almighty, what a stupid response. If the OP is
looking in add/remove, and he chooses to remove, he
*will* be uninstalling the hotfixes themselves, so your
idiotic advice could lead to grief. None of them should
be uninstalled unless the OP knows specifically that one
or more of them is causing a problem. On the other hand,
there is uninstall information resident in files in the
Windows directory that may be deleted if the OP is sure
that he/she will not want to uninstall any of the hotfixes
in the future.

Also, your last sentence makes no sense whatsoever.
