When my computer boots up a screen gives me a choice to boot to windows xp
home , or to windows xp set up . It chooses xp home as default , however I
would like to get rid of the other choice to make it simpler for the kids.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank-You

Go to Start/Run, type in: msconfig and press OK.
Select the Boot.ini Tab and click on Check All Boot Paths.

All I can tell you is you should be able to go in to you bios an
change your first boot device from cd to IED-0 I think that is what i
is called. It sounds like it is still trying to boot from the cd. S
try that and if you have the xp cd in take that out as well

If it reports that all paths are good, then you do indeed have 2 instances
as shown on the boot menu. The "setup" that is reported sounds like it may
have been from a failed installed.

Follow the advice from Ramesh in this thread and go to the recommended
website for instructions on removing the setup menu item.
