Ok, I have been reading help files and articles and the
knowledge base for anything that might be able to help
me. I'm totally stuck. My computer will not boot up at
all. It gets to the Black Windows screen (with the bar
that goes across to show it's loading) and then I get the
Blue Screen of Death. My computer then restarts and the
whole process repeats. I get the
error "PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED", but the help
articles have nothing to do with my problem. I cannot
boot using any of the Safe Mode options, Last Known Good
Configuration, or any of the other options listed. My
computer just will not let me get to the logon so I can
do a system restore. I would appreciate any help anyone
could give.

Thanks for your time!

Is your Windows XP on a genuine install CD or is it a System Recovery
disk?

If it is a genuine install CD then boot from the CD and do a Repair
Install as per the instructions at
http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

Good luck

Thanks, Ron. I do have a genuine install disk. I went
to the article. I do not have the repair option
available, though, so it doesn't work. Any other
suggestions?
