Windows XP Home SP2 - Suddenly 3 Apps Getting Visual C++ Errors...

....and the only reason I didn't post this in a VISUAL C++ newsgroup is that I
am NOT a Visual C++ programmer and know nothing about this language, so I
didn't want to get any replies telling me how to alter a C++ program. This
seems to be some kind of Windows XP issue, because seemingly out of the blue,
I am getting "Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library - Debug Assertion Failed -
expression: list erase iterator outside range / list iterator not
incrementable" dialog error messages, and the related apps - in my case,
LOGMEIN and ATTENSA, abort. Both of these programs have worked fine in the
past - I don't know what happened, and I really don't want to have to system
restore unless absolutely necessary. So, I thought I would see if anyone has
any ideas here first.

Thanks!!

Andy

Itteration out of range implies to me that some dll is missing, or corupt. I
would reinstall the apps that show an error.

Thanks for the info, Mark. Unfortuantely, reinstalling did not fix the
problem - BUT, after some analysis and using Hijack This, I determined that
another program I am checking out, "Hide My IP 2007", caused some O10 WINSOCK
issues and "did something" to proxyfilter.dll, where the VC ++ debug had
referenced the error. I have turned it over to HMIP support.

Thanks!

Andy
