I have two areas where i need advice - i am trying to set
up multiple email addresses for all 4 members of my
family who use my pc whilst retaining individual privacy -
whatever i do it doesnt seem to work - any suggestions
gratefully received.
second problem is that whenever i click on links when on
line i get an error code which asks me if i want to send
a report - when i do it then crashes and goes back to my
desktop whilst sometimes retaining the connection!! Very
confusing to an irregular user like me.
My husband would also like to use our freeserve anytime
account from his pc downstairs - does this mean he has to
pay separately and install his own disc or as he is using
the same line as my and same number but different pc can
we use the same account and not pay the additional £15.99
per month.
thanks for any help

set up a Windows XP User for each member. they can then have their own
instance of whatever email client you're running (Outlook Express at a
guess!) with their own email address and own folders. the only thing you
have to do is in each users email settings, where it says "User name"
you need to type in "name+asshe.freeserve.co.uk" (without the quotes,
and where "name" is the portion before he "@" symbol in each user's
email address)

Are you up to date with IE and Windows patches?

You can certainly use the Freeserrve Account from the second PC as long
as it's on the same line. Just copy the settings from the one to the
other. (Don't bother with the CD - it's garbage anyway....)

And which Mail Client are you using as the default, Jan? Does each family
member have his own Windows Profile/Log-on?

What kind of links, in what, leading to where? Are you up-to-date at
Windows Update?

I would think one subscription would cover you all but only one machine will
be able to access the 'net at a time, unless you're on a network. Have you
asked Freeserve about it?
