Windows XP Home edition...computer turns on when hanging up phone...

Any ideas? I'll try to get more info later today, but as far as I
know, when my Brother hangs up any phone in the house, the computer
turns on. Yes, he has a 56K dial-up modem.

The setting in the BIOS is probally set to wake up on ring

Ps I'm no expert just the only possible cause I can think of. others may be
more help

Thanks for the reply. I'll look into it, but wouldn't the pc have to
be in sleep mode in order for the 'wake-up call' to work?
