With an XP Pro machine connected to a NT domain, I am given the ability to
configure exact permissions for files and folders, under XP Home, a friend
of mine only has the ability to "make this folder private".

Is there any know registry hack to allow this NT Domain Memeber behaviour
on an XP Home machine?

Thanks for any assistance that can be offered.

I've read that if you boot into Safe Mode (press F8 during
bootup) that you can set individual permissions. I
haven't tried it or tested it.

Ok. I'll get my friend to try that. It seems a lot of NT Security features
are available in safe mode, including logging in as Administrator on XP
Home. Seems more like a security risk to me!

Many thanks for your help.
