I am trying to do a back up for the first time. I'm going through the wizard and when I get to specify the name of the back up file I get the following error:

"The back up file could not be used" "Please ensure it is a valid path, and that you have sufficient access"

I get this error only if I try to use a CD RW. There is no problem with the CD RW I'm trying to use. In order to prove it I was able to copy a photograph to this CD. I am set up as a computer administrator.

I will appreciate any advise you could give me.

Thanks,
Herman Faesi

If you are attempting to backup your entire system, as
said before, Windows Xp doesn't support this function,
however Norton Ghost is a useful utility for the money
and does a very nice job of backing up the entire OS,
Program and System files.
