Windows XP help and support

I click on the start button and then click on Help and
Support and nothing opens. Nothing happens at all. The
help menu or window does not open. What could cause
this?

I found an answer to this question 2 pages back from

this page, from Mark Whalen dated october 23 0720 am,
titled help and support doesnt open. The kellys-korner
link did the trick!
 
I'm also having a problem with help and Support: I can
open a Help and Support window use the index to browse
information, however if I try to search more than once
the window locks up! My machine was reinstalled before
