windows XP hang after repair

My windows XP can not start after change mainboard (SAME
TYPE), FYI main board using SATA with chipset VIA VT8237.

Have blanck screen and hang after display a welcome screen.

Pls help

You say, "xp hangs after repair", do you mean a repair install after booting
from the xp disk...?
 
Youre computer is working as it should...With a new hd,or motherboard,you nee
to reinstall xp,load xp cd,restart computer,boot to cd,install new copy.Even wit
same model # board,thier can/could be the slightest diffrence in the two,but thie
not the same.

Yes, after repair using WINDOWS XP CD. Finished copy files
from CD to HDD and after restart, I got the welcome
screen, then the screen become blank and the computer
hang.
